It's getting to be that time of year...

She LOVES a Party... Which is a good thing because she goes to quite a few! This year, she's keying all of her party outfits around her new bracelets...

She's including navy in her plan because she can include jeans and navy pants that she already has! But she collects evening bags and is a sucker for a beautiful dangly, sparkly earring...

Her travel outfit is pretty restrained - as much as she likes to dress for a party, she also doesn't want to be terribly gaudy and inappropriate in transit!

There are unscrupulous places on the internet selling perfectly nice polyester scarves for the same price as wool and cashmere scarves! And if you dig just a bit, the exact same scarves are available for literally 20% of the "wool/cashmere" price. A shocking, opportunistic stunt that's taking advantage of a brand name... Quintessentially Autumn Every year, usually in October, there are hundreds of them, just in the US: "Autumn Glory" (in Oakland Maryland), the Springs Festival (in Springs, Pennsylvania) and tons of others - FALL FESTIVALS!!!

Perfect for autumn:

She can take some time off this fall - what a luxury! A little photography, perhaps?

Her packing will have her blending into the forest!

It's not her usual style, but she couldn't resist the cardigan...

Everything else was simple. Her two orange sweaters aren't as much alike as they seem to be; she knows she will wear them both!

She gives everything a careful "once-over" before she packs... Socks? Clean undies? Pyjamas?

The most important thing that she checks (well, not as important as underwear!) is that she has what she needs for at least a few outfits:

"Let's Go Away... for the weekend to the spa up in the next state. It's not a long drive, and we can spend the weekend sitting in a pool in our room, or walking around the grounds, or getting massages..."

She's not handling grief nearly as well as she thought she would; a break might be nice...

She's pretty sure she knows what she will wear for the ride, and she has every intention of wearing the robe provided by the spa much of the time. Still, she will need something to wear to at least get back and forth to the treatment rooms or to walk around.

So if you're going away for the weekend to visit a few vineyards, shouldn't your wardrobe be based on a "wine-themed" bracelet? (or scarf, or brooch...)

Especially when your favorite neutral is navy!

The weather where they're going will be warm, unless it's cool. The days will be hot, or chilly. Nobody seems to be sure what to expect, so she packs accordingly!

She knows that they will be going to a nice dinner, and she's hopeful that there will be a day warm enough to wear shorts. But she's determined not to pack too much - if she has to wear burgundy pants all three days, so be it!
