Just to refresh our memories after the weekend, our current heroine is working on a Project 333 wardrobe based upon this painting and color palette:
Her plan is to include 16 garments and 17 accessories in her 3 month plan; the clothing that she’s chosen is here:
She’s going to be logical about this, and work her way through an assortment of outfits, making certain that she includes the appropriate accessories for each…
Finding both earrings AND a scarf in her favorite dusty green is a small victory, I’d say!
She’s going to slightly dress up with her vest – a stunning pearl brooch, and some pretty loafers will do the trick:
Something warm and casual is always useful!
Her favorite dress is easy – pretty earrings, nice low-heeled pumps, and a scarf!
She knows that some days she will just want a simple navy and white outfit – but her scarf has a wee stripe in soft green:
Now that she has 2 scarves that include green and blue, she can mix up her clothes in all kinds of ways!
OOh, best keep count! That’s 17 accessories…
Here’s what her 33 items for Project 333 look like:
Although this is about as far from what I normally wear as possible (well, I do have blue jeans!), I could easily dress in this wardrobe from now ’til the end of April…
The more I control the size of my wardrobe, the better I feel about it. I’m learning that I don’t need a lot of variety!
love,
Janice

I love this capsule and the painting. I would like to see a 333 capsule for summer using this palette. Thanks for another great post!

What a lovely palette! I just bought the Fable scarf. :-)

I love this wardrobe. In my personal version I’d sub out the dress for another pair of pants, and the green would need to be more of an emerald, but overall I could slip this right into my closet. The baroque pearl brooch is amazing. I, too, would like to see a summer version later on down the road as that’s where I usually run into challenges within my closet – I love the sweaters and pants of fall/winter so much more than the options in spring/summer. Have a great day everyone! PS – I have that fable scarf and it is as cute as it can be!

Lovely colour palette and beautiful accessories. I especially love the Bandolino bowed loafers. This Canadian would love to own the maple leaf earrings, (Canada’s slogan is The Maple Leaf Forever),but strangely, Macy’s claims that this item cannot be shipped to my country.

Absolutely beautiful. Love the green purse too. Any chance a link to the purse can be provided? I don’t see one, but it’s probably just me missing seeing it.

I just put a link to the bag on the “All Accessories” page.
hugs,
Janice

Love this! In the first outfit, how would you wear the scarf?
Janice says
Diagonally folded into a long strip, tied around my neck like a men’s tie, or else in a square knot. Maybe outside the collar of the shirt, maybe inside…
I’d have to try a couple of different ways, to see what I liked the best!
hugs,
Janice

Beautiful accessories, especially the shoes, and just when I need a pair of black flats! Is there a link to the handbag?
Thanks for all your hard work, Janice!!!❤️

I love the painting, the wardrobe and accessories using all these lovely colors. Very tempted by the Fable scarf but I’ve realized I haven’t worn scarves in at least 2 years now. Please revisit this heroine and her wardrobe for summer!

I think I landed on 43 pieces for my Winter 2023 333. I don’t include accessories. 43 seems like a lot, but I like color and I like variety. I always wear a red top and jeans on Friday, and a library t-shirt and jeans on Saturday. Unless I have an “event”, Sunday is loungewear, which isn’t counted. The other four days I go in streaks. Some weeks it’s a different dress/topper every day, other weeks I pick a navy or black bottom and wear a different top and topper every day. As much as I’d like to eliminate black from my wardrobe, I am resigned to keeping it. It’s just so versatile in ways that navy (my favorite neutral by far) isn’t.

I love this capsule wardrobe and would like to see more combinations that start with navy!

Hear, hear!

Double down on the “hear, hear!” Love navy! So glad to have migrated COMPLETELY from black to navy :) Appreciate that there has been some navy in 2022, thank you Janice!
Margery says
Love this whole navy and soft celadon green capsule! Beautifully done.

Echoing the love for this wardrobe! I’m mentally subbing in charcoal/mid grey for the navy – navy was forever ruined for me by my school uniform back in the day. Been on the lookout for a light green or blue bag that doesn’t veer too pastel-y for a while – might end up going for a light grey instead.
