It’s over; I am no longer wearing my wool terry dress EVERY DAY FOR 100 DAYS.
I miss it. Not horribly, but sometimes I look down at my tan jeans, white shirt and black vest and wonder WHERE DID MY DRESS GO?
That will change soon enough, I’m sure!
Here’s how I finished off the project, as well as my first Outfit of the Day for the rest of my life; I think I’m going to OOTD for a while. I find creating the outfit images interesting…

Janice

Congratulations! Glad you will continue to share your outfits with us.
Caro says
That was fun! Thanks for doing it.
Allison says
Congratulations 🎉. That really was epic. Can you give us an analysis of what your take aways from this challenge are? What you found comfortable, anything that gave you pause?
Tips and tricks the helped? Any mental quirks that made it harder? Easier?
Wendy says
Ditto! I’d love to hear your thoughts and reflections on your hundred-day experience.
Helen says
Your creativity is absolutely amazing, Janice! Any OOTD themes and posts would be most welcome. I frequently looked at your black dress posts for ideas on what to wear.
Wendy says
Bravo and congratulations!! I’ve loved following your journey.
How many of your scarves ended up being worn? I seem to recall you saying something about the ones that weren’t worn in the hundred days would possibly be culled from your wardrobe. Forgive me if that’s not the case!
Beth T says
Congratulations. I love the blue jumper and snowflake scarf – very seasonal. In my corner of the UK icy, frosty, below freezing, foggy with possible snow later.
Kristi says
So excited to hear a wrap up on this if you have time! :) OOTD posts would be so much fun!
Susan says
I’m wondering if you liked this enough to travel with? Could that be an option? Seems like an easy plan for packing.
Janice says
Absolutely – but I’m not traveling right now. I’m taking care of my mother, and I don’t want to leave her in anybody else’s hands!
love,
Janice

I think you’ve done a wonderful job wearing this same dress many different ways. You did this 100 days of wearing this dress at a great time because of the weather getting colder you have been able to layer with the dress many different items!!
Susan Adams says
I loved the 1 Dress 100 Days Challenge. And you chose the *perfect* dress: easy to layer under and over to create lots of different looks. I have a similar dress that I take on my travels. Last summer I wore it under a cashmere crewneck and with tights in Iceland, and over a T with bare legs in Amsterdam. So versatile and easy to wear.

Your whole dress adventure has given me a new view on creating outfits. Not only tops and sweaters over and under your dress, but maybe wearing a maxi skirt over a shorter dress, tucking a lighter weight tunic or short dress into palazzo pants, wearing a shirt dress or wrap dress open as a duster over it, and many more!
Janice says
If you look at how women on Instagram are wearing their dresses, you’ll be amazed at the creativity they demonstrate! They make me look like a rookie…

Janice

OK, I am now inspired to note (diligently!) the number-of-wearings for each garment I have. Of course, when we start monitoring a behaviour, the behaviour changes in response to the recording. But never mind, it changes in the positive direction. In my case, the goal is to have mostly heavily-worn items (casual, smart-casual, housework and gardening), and very few smart items that are worn infrequently, but are needed for celebratory events. I still have too many smart things left over from working years, but “working” on it.
Meri Kirihimete to you Janice, and to all your readers, from Aotearoa New Zealand :) where Christmas is often sunny, never snowy, and there is always pavlova, preferably passionfruit
Janice says
Rugby and passionfruit are 2 of my favorite things! Happy Holidays to you too!
love,
Janice

And to your family, also!

Congrats on completing the challenge! As I followed your posts, I was inspired to simplify my day to day clothing choices. Thank you.
