Halfway finished with the 100 days! I’m still very happy with my dress; last night, I put it into a delicate wash mesh bag and ran it through a load in the machine, on the Delicate cycle. Hung it overnight, steamed it this morning. Brilliant!

That’s good to know that it can go through in a delicate cycle for times a person might not be able to do a hand wash.
Congratulations on the halfway point! Love the pink.

It needed some pretty serious steaming – being folded down in the bag meant that the same folds were in the dress for the entirety of the laundry cycle. Happily, wool takes well to being steamed!

Wondering how you wore the scarf with a hooded sweater and down vest?
Janice says
My scarf went UNDER the hood in the back, and then was just looped over itself in the front… I seldom do complicated things with scarves!

I love the pretty scarves that are coming out to play! And the pop of pink is lovely.

How often have you washed the dress?
Janice says
About every 10 days – depending on the weather, what I was doing etc. I hand-washed it at least 3 times, and machine-washed it this past weekend. I’m VERY impressed by how well it’s holding up; I know that there are clothes that can’t be worn 50 times and still be in 1 piece. Highly recommend their things…

I adore merino pieces and am transitioning my wardrobe to mostly merino (including undergarments and tights). They work year round (great temperature regulation) and are travel staples! Love what you are doing on the Wool& challenge. Inspiring. Since I do fiber arts, I know lots about laundering different kinds of wools. My favorite for merino and cashmere is called Soak. It is marvelous because there is no need to rinse and it conditions the fibers perfectly.
It has been such a delight following your blog over these many years. Thank you!
