Let’s take a look at the second five “London Fashion Week” colors, as shared with us by Pantone…
You probably remember from last week that I showed the first 5 colors as accents to navy blue; I’m going to hold onto that navy for this bright green. It just seems to be the right thing to do!

This is the minimal, core navy wardrobe that I was using:

At least in my eyes, these colors are made for each other. While these outfits feel a lot like spring, let’s bear in mind that we dress to flatter ourselves, NOT to match the calendar!
For the last 4 accent colors, I decided to see how they look with charcoal grey. This wee core wardrobe is more casual than the first; what you choose will depend on your life and your preferences. Of course!

This color feels like either early spring, or maybe the chill of snowy winter? At any rate, I think it’s lovely!

It’s beautiful with grey – I think it would be lovely with even light shades of grey too.
For some of us, electric blue will always feel like the 1980s! But it’s so cheery; maybe it’s time we started to recover from those years, and those shoulder pads…

The intensity of the charcoal balances the blue well, without looking like the “black and blue” many of us wore back in the last century…
Okay, I love this color! I would adore these loafers… sigh…

This wonder-purple really brightens up charcoal grey:
And finally, pink. If you like pink, and it flatters you (which might be nothing more than making you happy when you wear it!), wear it every chance you get! Let everyone else dress like pumpkin spice…

This pink has just enough heft that it balances the charcoal grey well:
I still don’t really have an accent color yet this year – I’m busy figuring out how to wear my wool dress every day! At least a lot of my scarves are finally getting out of the closet…

What a lovely array of colours to brighten up Monday morning?
Airy Blue is the colour of the sky that I can see peeping through the gaps in the cloud. It does look lovely with lighter shades of grey too. This is the colour to wear in winter to channel your inner Ice Maiden. It is also the colour to wear in summer with light grey and silvery accessories to look Cool and Collected. It’s one of the colours I gravitate too in moments of stress as it’s very soothing too.
Spring Crocus is just delectable and muted enough for me to wear. It’s in between fuschia and magenta.
Pink Cosmos is another colour that can be year round. It brightens up a dull day in autumn/winter and looks lovely with roses in summer.
At last colours I can wear. 😍🥰
I have those Cariuma sneakers in green and in cream. I love them!
You pointed out how grey calms down the blue. It is a lovely neutral. And, yes, it is amazing with pink, too.
A warmer, medium grey is beautiful with salmon pink as well.
Even though I don’t need clothes, I can definitely see building a wardrobe with navy and grey as the neutrals. Adding all these happy colours is so appealing.
I am so so happy I just discovered your blog! I need it on so many levels! I have that electric blue (from Talbots) in sweater, pants, and vest. I occasionally wear pants and sweater together but it is too much.i never thought of grey! I needed your help! Thanks so much!

These are all colors i love and wear – no surprise as navy and gray are my two favorite neutrals! The Airy Blue and Pink Cosmos, in particular, are the type of hue I enjoy wearing in January after the rich colors of Christmas begin to seem almost too much.
The Spring Crocus purple calls my name! One of my best colors to wear and now I think I need all the pieces shown. I will have to control myself!
Thanks for showing navy and grey, these are my neutrals. I love all the accent colors with them! I keep debating the addition of green to my wardrobe as an accent. I have green eyes so it seems like that might make them pop. I just haven’t found anything green that makes me want to add it.
I also have green eyes and nothing makes them pop better than a lavender or medium purple top. Medium sage green is good too but not nearly as effective as purples.
I have green eyes and all shades of purple are my favourite colours.
I have close copies of these colors already represented in my wardrobe — on-trend dressing next spring is going to be a breeze!
I love and wear all of these colors with my navy base, but as grey is my second neutral, that works too. I went through my wardrobe this weekend and donated most of my print tops. I need to cull some more, but that was a good start.
These are all wonderful colours. I must live in an unadventurous or colour-shy region because the colours are all so muted and safe here. It’s nice to know that there are pretty colours available in the wider sphere.
I am needing to create a Florida capsule wardrobe for a holiday visit of 4-6 weeks, with the added criteria of using colors in my palette that are healing/friendly. This is it! You have made my life so much easier!
These are lovely with the exception of the grey neutral which does nothing for me unfortunately. I have the blue loafers though not that brand. Mine are Van Dahl made quite near to me in East Anglia UK and I would love the bag you show to go with them. And the bracelet is beautiful.
Oh boy, do I love that green. Maybe this will sound crazy, but I would put it with ivory instead of navy. And, yes, even the pale blue. I adore pale icy tones with a pop of green. I always feel like there is a green out there for everybody. Some need dusty tones, some need brights & others need earthy deeps, but it seems almost like a neutral because it flatters so many other colours. I’m looking forward to hunting down some accent items now after seeing both colour posts. Thank you Janice.
Oooh, I like all of these accent colors, but surprisingly, the magenta (Spring Crocus) really caught my attention. I love that sweater + scarf combination and would quite happily wear it with blue denim jeans in any medium to dark wash.
The light blue and pink are so nice. And that pink boots!!! I will not be able to wear them (very thick ankles) but love them.
I love all these colors. Like others, my neutrals are grey/charcoal and navy. My choices for these colors might be a little softer, as a soft summer I don’t look as good with the clear bright tones. Beautiful outfits, Janice, thanks.

Great inspiration to pair the blue with charcoal! I’ll be trying this out when the weather turns cooler here (Phoenix, AZ, so it’ll be a bit).
