Roses! What’s not to love? (I’m a little biased, because I’m born in June…)
There are roses everywhere – if you want home fragrances, or perfume, you’re in luck.
And if you want to add some accessories to your wardrobe, maybe pick 2 or 3 pieces that look happy to be together? Sort of an instant update to your neutral outfits… I would cheerfully buy all 5 of these items, just to wear with black…
Or if you wanted a more striking color palette:
Maybe pink roses are your favorites? If you wear black, you can certainly live in that first scarf, and the 2nd scarf would be perfect with denim…
Yes, you might not want to wear a floral watch every day, but if you wanted to find one that you could love for years, it’s worth looking at those from Olivia Burton. I do NOT need a watch, but… sigh…
I could see these pieces with black too… although the ring and earrings would be lovely all summer long…
Maybe you’d prefer your roses to be a different color entirely! Or without color at all…
Or if you’re just in the mood for a new ring… These are all amazingly pretty – that black one sort of turns my head…
After all, I’ve got a birthday soon – maybe we should ALL get ourselves a wee gift?
love,
Janice

Lovely. Hard to choose.
Wait a minute here, I just realized, June babies get roses, pearls, moonstone and alexandrite?
Boy, June is a special month!
I am a November baby, so it’s topaz (or citrine) and chrysanthemum for me. Which is ok. I do love them both. Just that roses and pearls are so romantic.
Happy early birthday! I so enjoy your postings, and I learn so much.

I love all of these! I’m not really into prints except in accessories and these are all amazing. I have a necklace of roses in black, grey & white that I haven’t worn in ages – I’ll have to look it out and wear it this month.
While I love the scent of real roses I always find rose perfumes to be too overwhelming and cloying so not for me. But I will keep my eyes open for a new scarf with some lovely roses.

Janice,
How do I get rid ofthe ads between each segment of your post ? This did not happen on your prior site.
Shrebee says
Hmmmm, it seems to be happening on other sites I also view since I recently updated . Oh
peachy keen!

Yes, there is now a bold, colorful ad between each section of your lovely posts, Janice —-it started with a few when the site was updated recently and now they are taking over! Eight big ads and eight sections of post. It’s too bad.

Agree with previous poster. I really am not liking your new site as much as I had hoped to. The ads are completely distracting. They seem much larger than the content and there are so many of them. It really is too bad.

I have to agree with the Ads in the middle of the blog. Sometimes I get so annoyed I just leave the blog. There are already Ads down the right side of the screen. And then there is the one that pops up at the bottom of the screen which you can close, but then it appears again when you click to the full blog.
It seems there is more advertising than content.
Please help us.

Love your blog! But do not love the new webpage as it has multiple ads (florists, Jewelry, Hot-Pockets!) that are sometimes difficult to close or just refresh to new ad when you close one. Yikes! Is this Bloglovin?

As a blogger myself, although in a completely different industry, I feel the need to stand up for Janice and the use of ads on the site. What a lot of readers don’t realize is how vital ad revenue is to keeping sites running. Keep in mind, Janice does this full-time and posts 3-5 days a week! That in itself is a full-time effort, plus there are the expenses of running a site as large as this. There are over 2000 articles on this site that you can access entirely for free. If you pick up a fashion (or any other type of) magazine, you see anywhere from 40-75% advertising content – plus you’ve paid for the magazine. Janice is providing such an excellent service to us, her readers, for free. It’s not much to skip over a few adds. I use the same ad network, MediaVine, myself, and I know it takes a few weeks to find the right balance of ads, and for the ads to start to make sense for the individual audience. So I also think you’ll see the ads improve over time. Finally, if you really don’t think websites like Janice’s provide value worth being compensated for, you can click off the ad on the bottom of the page and install an ad blocker for the rest. Although I really hope you’ll first consider the time and effort that goes into building an amazing site like this. Thank you, Janice, for all the knowledge you’ve shared with us over the years!

I agree! And I open the ads from time to time! Don’t you all?

I am a June baby, and I love actual roses, but tend to find many rose patterns and accessories to be a little frilly for my tailored style. I would happily wear that blue rose scarf, though! So tempting. – nancyo

I have to agree with the above comments re adds. They truly spoil the flow of the blog.

I’m a June baby too!! I love roses. I’ve gravitated towards rose scents since my teenage years and never thought about it being my “birth flower.” How interesting! I know you usually only do one of these posts per month flower, but….. I’d love to see some peach roses with navy.
Happy early Birthday, Janice!!?

For those of you commenting on disruptive ads, you should try an ad-blocker. I use uBlock and I don’t see any ads at all.

I don’t mind ads when the content is free and the blog is fabulous, like this one.
I do like that blue scarf and have one that is similar, now I know what will pull it all together.
Thanks Janice!
