Ashley in Switzerland, among many Anonymous requests, asked me for a wardrobe of warm hues. I’ve been working on a general “spring” wardrobe for a while so I thought I’d share this one with you. I hope you enjoy, and don’t forget, if you have a specific wardrobe request, leave me a comment! I’m particularly enjoying the requests based on specific paintings or scarves – maybe someone has a beautiful piece of pottery or china upon which I could design something? It may take me a few weeks to fulfill your request, but I will definitely get to everybody!

This wardrobe is breathtaking! Thank you for putting so much thought into this collection. I have already placed a few of the pieces on my shopping list! You gave me a lot to think about in terms of color harmony and using lighter, more buttery leathers in my accessories. Wonderful!

Good morning,
I read your blog first thing each day and am endlessly entranced at your creativity. Even though you are working you are still producing more fabulous wardrobes. I agree with others that this is a very special talent and somehow will work into a career or book or something.

I had requested a summer palette wardrobe for a teacher earlier. Here is a painting I like: The Loing at Moret in Summer , Alfred Sisley. Maybe this will help narrow it down more.
I would love to see you do a book!

Thank you for sharing the concept of the French Chic core wardrobe. I have been working on building a capsule wardrobe over a number of months and have now defined by "core". It is also based on a warm spring colour palette. You can see it here http://myprovincialstyle.blogspot.com/2011/07/core-wardrobe.html

Good afternoon,
I am back with two requests.
One, I am wondering if you would consider adding hats to your accessories compilations. I think they add so much to an outfit and they are coming back in fashion.
Two, I would love to see what you come up with for a fall/winter season capsule for a casual retired but still elegant wardrobe using this painting by Gustav klimt as the inspiration.

I sew a lot of my clothes and am finding your capsules very thought provoking.

HATS!!!! What fun – of course I'll start looking at hats. While they won't necessarily be something everybody will want to wear, they will certainly illuminate the image that I build in the wardrobe.
And I love the painting – I've got you on the list of wardrobes under construction. Thanks so much for reading,
Vivienne

I like the camel, olive and coral combination and wondering to myself if the coral is a good color for me or not. I think not, but I can still admire! Just lovely!

I have a request that might satisfy a great need:
Middle-aged. Short. And stout.
The only real conclusion I've arrived at is this: When wearing a skirt, the fabric drapes over the stout parts (tummy) and then drops. When wearing pants, the fabric drapes over the tummy, then curves inward again. NOT flattering.
So, short, stout, and wearing mainly skirts.
