This book has all kinds of interesting suggestions in it! One of the things that the authors do is to take a simple garment and suggest seven different ways to wear it. Now bear in mind, some of these are not necessarily something you or I might wear, but they are thought-provoking, and that has some value, right?
Shirt – Steffen Schraut, red pants – Moschino, black tee shirt – Dorothy Perkins
Tank top – Pro Surfing, pants – Debenhams, shoes – Keds, swimsuit – Missoni
Jeans – Levi’s, belt – Diane von
Furstenberg, sandals – Loeffler Randall, skirt – Haute Hippie
Furstenberg, sandals – Loeffler Randall, skirt – Haute Hippie
I’m going to be on vacation all next week, so you’re going to get a full week of “one garment – seven ways” while I’m out of touch. Thanks, as always, for being here with me!
And if anybody can offer up better translations from the French than I have provided, please let me know; I’m always happy to learn more French.

I almost gave up looking for a perfect white shirt, your post has inspired me to keep on looking. Thank you!

Thanks for the inspiration ! I like how the shirt is teamed up with the skirts.I have a patterned skirt and I now I have an idea on how to wear it.
I have to say I love your blog.

The white, button-front shirt is the holy grail of style, and very elusive to the small-shouldered, big-busted figure such as mine. Some of the chicest outfits I saw in Europe involved a classic white shirt: some with jeans, some with trousers, some with skirts, etc.

To suit my colours, my best "white" shirt is ivory. As ivory shirts are hard to find I buy a quality men's shirt with no breast pocket, mother of pearl buttons and french cuffs. I have the sleeves altered for the right length. Thanks for a great series. I have created http://inspiredcapsule.blogspot.com/ for inspiration with core pieces from a capsule wardrobe.
