In this sort of “middling” weather we’re having right now (40’s to 50’s Fahrenheit), a trench coat is a great outerwear choice. I’ve seen some lovely ensembles based on them in the last few days…
Trench coat – A.P.C., beret – Liberty.co.uk, leopard scarf – Fendi, gloves – Banana Republic, black turtleneck – Jil Sander, black pants – Etro, black boots – Rochas, striped tee – Dorothy Perkins, jeans – Levi’s, red
boots – Frye, red cashmere scarf & gloves – N. Peal

The stripe tee and jeans and red scarf will be perfect for shopping today. I sure wish I had those red boots….but at least I have some red ballet slippers!

This has been a trench coach buying week for me. First I found a car-length London Fog for moi–very slim, tailored fitting–for $20 at a thrift shop. Then the next day I found a men's Christian Dior (42R) Le Connaisseur for $7.99 at Goodwill. I plan to resell this on my Etsy store since it was too big for my husband.
I love both looks you pictured but favor the black/leopard combo. Tres chic!! ~~Bliss

I just loves these pictures of classic styling that can be worn at any decade of your life.

Love, love, love them all. Wondering if the trench is for me… I have a shorter black trench that is best for spring/fall. It has proven very versatile but share many's desire for the perfect trench. So many of you have commented that the trench doesn't suit you and I am wondering if it IS a good shape for me… That is one of my biggest challenges when picking clothes; knowing which styles work for my body. Hence the hesitation.
