I LOVE beige and camel with anything. Since I love it so much, maybe it is telling me something. Perhaps it should be my go to neutral. The leopard pumps and Chanel bag are a gorgeous combination. But I also love the tangerine and turquoise. I would wear any of them!

I actually don't post on Polyvore – I use them to source some of my images, but I build the compositions on my own computer, in PowerPoint (!!!) because it's more flexible. But thanks for the compliment! Rest assured that if I'm putting together wardrobes or outfits, they will be on this blog, or on A Femme d'un Certain Age.
I love beige and camel, but they wash me out. With your variations, I think I can actually pull it off. I especially adore the pink with the beige and the orange also.

The more I shop, the more I peruse on blogging sites, the more I am convinced that you have to invest in accessories to build a flexible, enduring wardrobe. This beige dress is a classic example: it can be worn in so many colorful, situation-appropriate ways with a switch of shoe/scarf/necklace/etc. I wish I had learned about accessories a long time ago…

I'm not a beige gal; I don't think it looks good with my skin tone. But I've let my hair go gray and I think that's a big part of the problem. If I warmed it up with some blondes/browns, beige works better, at least for me. What I love about what you've done, is pairing beige with hot pink/Barbie pink accessories, or even the red ones. I just wouldn't have thought about those color combos, and I love the way you've laid it out; how it looks. I read something the other day that a woman of a certain age does not look good with neon pinks close to her face, no matter what the skin tone or hair color. I have no idea who comes up with these things. If that's the case, the pops of pink with the core beige could answer the question.
I've really been struck this past year, in my 50s, how it seems like everything I start to do, dress-wise, activity-wise, whatever-wise, has to be prefaced with the "age-appropriate" thing, or even the color-appropriate thing as I mentioned above. When did so many rules start to rain on my parade, especially with clothing? Ah, to be young again, with a great figure and no boundaries except a too-small paycheck for weekend shopping. Somebody lately who's caught my eye in celeb-news is the young-20-something American actress Blake Lively. Wow, to be rich, pretty, in a knockout body…I'd be stockpiling the clothes like she does (she's everywhere, every fashion event, art/charity/film event), although I know that goes against the Project 333 concept. I've read that she's a designer's "muse" and the face of somebody big…is it Chanel? She wears amazing clothes, all the various fashion houses/lines, many different styles (a lot of classics) and a wide range of colors and jewelry but with good taste, and they say she doesn't even have a stylist. I've never really seen true, expensive, original couture clothing up close and personal; it must be something to feel (much less own and wear!) a sumptuous fabric/texture, intricate beading; see fine stitching and excellent craftsmanship (true tailoring), etc. I just keep coming back to equating great clothes with art, as art; wearable art, very tempting to collect! I think I've read that Vera Wang keeps a lot of her favorite clothes on rolling racks where she can see them; Betsey Johnson hangs them from her canopy bed; even Rachel Ashwell drapes her vintage ball gowns/prom dresses on the back of a door or on a hook, from the ceiling, etc. (no "museum" closets for these artists; have the stuff out where you can have the visual pleasure). Oh, how I do love the subject of clothes; your blog gets me started, every single time…
LOVE this…accessories are so much fun. I think my favorite combo is with the pink because I don't think I would have thought of putting pink with beige. I don't know why not. I would probably gravitate toward the blacks, browns, and reds if I owned a beige dress. But the other colors really liven it up.
