Beautiful options!

I think I am too old (or maybe too eurpean) to wear a gold bag or shoe in the daytime, but I take that Hermes scarf and the jewelry any day. Very lovely.

We saw gold shoes all over Paris – even on men – but it WAS fashion week, so normal rules were suspended. But I have a pair of gold penny loafers that I've found are terribly versatile, and after the first time I wore them, they didn't feel all that conspicuous…
waving hello from Chicago,

The brown common wardrobe is not for me, but this combo is so elegant!

A dazzling way to take casual clothes from workday to gala evening–but I'm missing the J Petermanesque prologues, Janice. :)

I adore gold shoes {have many pairs} and accessories. But those gold CK boots! They are welcome to find their way over to my home anytime. Difficult to use the word common for this wardrobe. I love it so much!

I love these combinations–but cannot wear these warm colors. I also cannot wear the previous common wardrobe to work because of the very-casual nature. Can you put together a cool-toned common wardrobe on the order of this one–casual, but not too casual (no jeans/denim/etc.)? I would be forever grateful!

It's up in the next week or so – it's going to include a skirt, and a blazer, and enough stuff to get you through most offices (at least the ones I see). Hang in there – it will take me a few more days…
thanks,
Janice

I am not sure what color scheme you will be using. I would love to see some ideas based on navy with gray and white for variety.
I have the loved the common wardrobes based on black and on brown, but can't wear either of these color groups.
Thanks. LeNora

Navy, grey, a white shirt, maybe a light blue shirt? pink?

I am awaiting this post too. I love navy.

Ditto. Would love to see the navy and grey with some accent colors. One of my favorites accents would be lilac/lavender. I'm also in the group that sadly cannot wear the warm colors. Shame as I love what you've done with the brown/camel common wardrobe.

Now this upcoming is definitely something I'm happily anticipating. Cools and not quite so casual; perfect. Throw in a dress, please, too! I'm a black instead of navy, but open to all Janice's clever ideas and possibilities for change.

Despite being unable to wear warm colors, I appreciate them! What I love about this post are the jewelry choices and that the gold jewelry is often a sort of brushed gold rather than a brassy gold; it looks so rich.

Thank you for these warm-toned mixes, Janice!
I have a question about wearing a scarf – a few weeks ago you helpfully showed how you usually tie a scarf. I'm unsure how to wear a scarf with a collared shirt and, say, a crew-neck or v-neck sweater as in the top right outfit of row 1 above. Does the scarf go inside or outside the collar or do you recommend a different way of tying it for that?
Many thanks, as ever
Janice says
Well, yes. I personally would wear it outside my collar, tied sort of in a loose men's tie knot. Unless the weather got really cold, in which case I might wrap it around my neck a couple of times like a turtleneck, and then tie it in a small knot. There are roughly a million ways to wear a scarf – check out Mai Tai (over in my blog list >>>) for excellent ideas and instructions.

I've been trying to find that post. Can either Coco or Janice tell me where to find it. Thanks.
