I love your postings – great ideas! But this is a scarf that really doesn't appeal to me. The purple dress is stunning! Vera Wang?! It had to be… ;-) Have a HAPPY day! :-)

Nice to see you back, Janice.
I always like navy with cognac, such a classy combination, but I would have never put it together with a bright aqua. Will have to try this sometime and see how it feels.

Hooray ! I have this scarf and I really like it because it works with several of my colours. Camel, blue, purple and navy. It is quite bright compared to most of my scarves but very wearable and cheerful. Thanks so much for these ideas, I have recently found your blog and find it really helpful. Most days I wear a cashmere jumper with jeans/ trousers and an Hermes scarf. I wear skirts to school events, lunches etc. I am based near a little village in the English countryside in a big draughty house with children, dogs etc. Clothes at this time of year need to be warm and practical as well as stylish. Best wishes for this festive season.

I love these clothes! I'm not a "camel" person, but I love the Jill Sander coat and the Orla Kiely dress. I am so glad you're back. I love your blog and truly appreciate all of the work you do.

I love the colors; they are my signature colors together with pink. Thanks to this posting I am revisiting my base color (black) and seriously considering moving to amber/camel. You have a real gift for picking beautiful clothes and combining outfits. Now, how can I justify the price of a Hermes scarf? LOL, Best wishes to you!

Two ideas: (1) start hunting through the second-hand market (there are a handful of reputable sellers over the internet – email me if you want verification that a scarf is authentic), or (2) think of the scarf as a piece of silk jewelry. It's not at all uncommon for scarves over 50 years old to come up for sale, in excellent condition, so you can amortize the price of a scarf over a VERY long time!

I love my Hermes scarves – they improve every outfit and make you feel special. I usually choose one for my husband to buy for my birthday (!) and buy one or two each season, depending on what is on offer. It is best to visit a store and try some on if you can. The assistants will show you various ways of knotting them.

I too have been in retreat since last Friday. Nice to see you back here. I adore the navy dress and saddle brown belt, etc.
Thank you again.

Hi Janice,
I love your blog! I haven't been able to comment before now, it looks like the new format will allow for it.
I haven't seen you do any capsules featuring one of the larger scarves by Hermes. Do you have a preference for the standard scarf size (35 X 35)? What about smaller scarves or larger scarves? I have an ETRO scarf the size of a Hermes Shawl (56 X 56) with fairly basic colors (black, medium blue, brown/tan, Green and Red). Could you show a wardrobe that could incorporate a larger scarf?
Thanks!

Wow! You have hit my perfect colors. Agree with Lynn that that I would add pink, mine would be warm, like watermelon or honeysuckle. Would you consider doing a project 333 with this?
Thanks

I woke up this morning to a grey and drizzly day and when I opened this post it was such a shock at first – the colours are so bold and bright and the combination is so unusual. I love it and feel sure you had great fun putting it together.
I work in a clothes shop for a small casualwear chain that only sells colourful clothes – no black. We merchandise our rails using four colours – two colours and two neutrals. I can see this on our rails, the Aqua and purple as the two colours and camel and white as the two neutrals, plus a bit of denim added in too.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of your "bright ideas".
