I started blogging because I so admired Tish’s work… And I never take for granted the honor of being the guest “poster” on her blog. Today, come see what I do with a suitcase full of color…

So funny! I just packed my bag for my honeymoon next week and it's all about cobalt and colour! I just love your blog!
ps my essential garment for summer (especially for the office) are thin capri pants. Office appropriate (especially when your office has airco) but also nice and cool for outside.

Summer in that building? Sweaters, for sure. They are bound to keep it too cold!

Even though I am retired I get wonderful ideas from your blog. It's the first non-news site I hit every morning.
My go-to for summer is a fabric, not a garment. Linen has been my summer mainstay for years….cool, floaty linen dresses, slacks, and blouses. You can be dressy or casual, but always feel well dressed in linen.

I would call this royal blue – it's the colour of my old 70s school uniform (with grey) so I don't think I'll be going with this trend!!

I really really like this combination but I'm not sure I'm brave enough to combine the green T with the cobalt cardi. I would probably pack a cobalt T instead to get a twinset look. And to expand the wardrobe for a longer trip, add black jeans, a black T and my most favorite black & white paisley cardi.

I used to work a couple of buildings east of you. I'd want a long, floaty maxi dress for the Chicago summer weather.

I like this post because my travel wardrobe always includes a black core: pants, skirt, cardigan, and coat/jacket. Then I take a variety of colored of tee shirts with 3/4 sleeves and some scarves and jewelry to tie each color in with the black core. Black walking (comfortable) shoes, and sandals for dinner, maybe a sequin top to wear with the skirt on formal night. You have opened my eyes to the value of a black v neck sweater and a crisp white shirt though, and I have added them to the mix.
I love the cobalt dress to wear with the matching sweater!
