Everybody’s eager to start packing for warm weather destinations, and I’m often asked for specific color combinations – especially those with navy. One of my most loyal readers asked me for navy, white and coral a while back, and I’m delighted to be able to finally fill her request.
The travel outfit is, as always, very uncomplicated. Long pants, shoes with closed toes and heels, a cardigan, and a scarf are all essentials that I include.
If you’re only going away for a long weekend, a six-pack will do. Working with your three colors, you can choose six garments, a scarf and some accessories…
And you have all of these options to wear:
If you’re going to be away for longer, you can add five more garments (marked with stars) to give you a LOT more options to get you through at least a couple of weeks of travel.
Now if only the weather will warm up enough that I’m not wearing big lumpy rubber boots!
love,
Janice

This is lovely. Hoping for warmer weather for you. :) I am cautiously dipping my toes into spring gardening this weekend… And I live in North Central AR!

Thank you so much. My colours for this summer. Problem sourcing decent skirts in UK – they're usually far too short or frumpy. Pity skirt shown is out of stock in my size – I love it. Most clothes over here are highly patterned and "clashing is in". But not for me.

I love your combinations but do you really suggest the travel outfit in the first picture would cost £560 or $932! This is more than I have to spend on clothes for each season, let alone for one outfit! Is there any chance you could do a post for those of us on a reasonable budget? Thanks in advance, I'd love to see what you can do with Gap/Target/Macy's prices.

I just show clothes based on the quality of the photographs available – I understand that most of us don't spend nearly that much on clothes! The clothes are just suggestions for the sort of garment that would be appropriate. I would use a broader price range of garments, but the sad thing is that photographs from Target and Macy's aren't of very good quality. I won't show Gap clothing until and unless they Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh. I'm not crazy about the quality of their clothes, and knowing how much influence they could wield if they would sign the agreement, it irks me that they don't participate.

Thanks for your reply! Obviously I got the wrong idea. The examples look so lovely though, wish I did have a large budget!

Hi Janice! My mom introduced me to your blog a while back and it's posts like this that made me love it instantly! We often discuss your latest combinations and colour scemes and really value your advice. Thank you!

Thank you for doing this in navy and coral.I will be pulling things in these colors and see that I could use more prints, coral flats and a small scarf. This will keep me busy and probably help reduce my wardrobe.

My travel colors go-to exactly. I also add a touch of olive to the mix. Love your blog!
