As much as it’s fun to dress up and go out into the world, sometimes we just want to stay close to home. This does NOT mean that we shouldn’t still be elegant, comfortable and beautiful…
Please, if you choose to wear leggings (and don’t get me wrong, I wear leggings very often and adore them), bear in mind the extremely revealing nature of such garments around your… more… private… areas. (ahem…) Easily the most shocking and unattractive things that I see on my daily city hikes involve inappropriate and immodest ensembles including leggings. You know what I mean…
As with everything else that goes into your well-considered wardrobe, your leisure apparel will be chosen from your color scheme – this means that a lot of things that you already have will go nicely with these new leisure items. How many tee shirts from this wardrobe can be worn with the white shorts? (these INSANELY EXPENSIVE white shorts…) And both tops with black trousers or jeans can easily hit the street with ease!
For some of us, leisure attire can be REALLY relaxed! And many of you have mentioned that a denim skirt might have a role in these wardrobe – you’re entirely right!
Some of you have mentioned that your primary concern with leisure attire is to find things for warm weather. These choices that I show are only guidelines – if your wardrobe needs five pair of shorts, then get them! Just keep them within your plan, and your wardrobe will still “hang together” and be efficient. The key to your wardrobe is that it’s designed to meet YOUR needs…
Ahhh, sweatpants. Sometimes there’s nothing better than a pair of sweatpants, a tee shirt, and maybe a sweatshirt if you have to run outdoors for something. Which doesn’t mean that you can’t also own a really pretty top to wear for your private life…
Sometimes a really cool tee shirt makes all of the difference between “meh” leisure attire and something much more distinctive. Just be certain that it really reflects what you want to convey; your clothing is about representing yourself completely and accurately to the rest of the world, not about becoming something you’re not in an attempt to fit in.

Loving the whole concept. You make it look so easy. I just wish I could afford all the great items that you find.
Thank you, Geraldine

Thank you for this section. I'm retired from my job but I walk every day, do my own yardwork, maintain a house and run errands around town. Plus, I'm in NW Florida and it gets very hot here for months at a time. I still want to look presentable and put together and this segment really speaks to me.

"Which doesn't mean that you can't also own a really pretty top to wear for your private life….Sometimes a really cool tee shirt makes all of the difference between "meh" leisure attire and something much more distinctive." Will be tattooing these words of wisdom on my brain to remind me that throwing on my husband's cast off tee shirts is NOT conducive to feeling good about myself.

always classy and appropriate – and adaptable for all climates. . . my summer is hot & humid here in E.TX, but your suggestions are easily tweaked – thanks for your continuing efforts !

Just what I asked for!! Thanks for the ideas! I see how I could incorporate very casual clothing into the rest of my wardrobe.
