Next week, I’m going to use a variety of neutral colors (navy, brown, beige, olive – what others would you like?) with accessories that I have already shown last week or this week. I’m not doing this to be lazy, but rather to show the great versatility that a happy family of accessories can have when paired with the enormous flexibility of a core of neutral clothes.
Hi! I would have loved the accessories with this post but with a more spring/summer base…. white, light beige….!!
I'd love to see how you can make some of these accessories work with a casual denim wardrobe.
I saw a woman at the Liitle Rock airport of all places wearing head to toe grey with turquoise accessories. She looked stunning. Until that time I had never thought about this combination, thinking of my turquoise pieces as 'summer' jewelry only. I have copied that look many times, and now it has the Janice-stamp of approval. :))
These amazing posts have made me think of my wardrobe in a totally different way. I could see how it may not be the clothes that need to change when I get bored, but maybe have several accessory capsules to switch out. Hmm. I love olive but it is a hard color to find and often when I do, it is in different tonal bases. How would you deal with this?
Love to see it in a warm golden brown/caramel/tobacco type color.
Janice, this wonderful anything-with-gray series has made me think about storing capsule accessories groups in clear acrylic boxes so that a new mood is available at a glance: a snow queen box, a colors of the sea and sky box, etc. Certainly, if my closet had these perfect gray clothes in it, actually putting on garments would be the very easy part.
Laziness is not in your vocabulary! I like the idea of a denim capsule with a variety of accessory ensembles.

I have begun to build a wardrobe based around caramel/cognac and would love to see your accessory capsules with that color.
Loving those turquoise pieces.
I love the turquoise! It's summer here in Australia and I've been teaming turquoise with navy and white for my basic wardrobe.
How I love these colours. I'm eager to see them paired with navy, too. I'm developing a spring/summer wardrobe based on navy, white, grey and turquoise and am finding such inspiration in your posts, both current and past. Thank you.
With warm, low-contrast "spring" coloring, I really am looking forward to the upcoming posts! (I wear no gray, only a little black, and navy only for jeans.) The posters above have mentioned all the colors I use, plus warm reds, pinks, and corals. Your combos are always stunning! Thank you for all you do. Kirsten
Love the turquoise jewellery with the grey!
Thanks again for using our Topographic KathKath scarf! I'm off to see what grey I have in my wardrobe.
Lovely! I cannot think of another colored stone that is as versatile as turquoise. It looks wonderful with every core neutral and I'm hard-pressed to think of an accent color that it would not enhance (especially for those of us with cool coloring).
Ah-ha….and the fog lifts again, clever girl. Many thanks.
