Lush, opulent, elegant, but unexpected… She will spare no expense to indulge herself, and will never compromise on comfort and ease.

Once again you have come up with a most unusual but beautiful combination. Your choices evoke the mood of the painting so well. You give me ideas of combining items in my wardrobe that I never dreamt of.

This combination is a really innovative way to wear some of my gold jewellery with my new grey basics. I own a blush pink linen T-shirt and I shall definitely look through my scarves to find the integrating piece. Merci, Janice.

I love the gentle mood of this…and that pearl necklace!

All I can say is… I'm a bit slow! Lovely combination of colors and clothes. I suppose I was thinking of and looking for golden mustard but you have just gone for gold. So opulent. I like how the accessories, like the scarves and jewellery, link together the colors. Her peacock fan has all the colors in it. Carol S

You are soooo creative! (I'm always so flattered when you visit. Merci.)
You venture — color-wise — where I dare not go and I always like what you "invent." xo

I just this painting at the Louvre last Thursday (back in Chicago now)! It's a longtime favorite, love the disproportionate body. Joan

I love the slight suggestion of harem pants in those trousers–should Odalisque ever consider getting out of bed and getting dressed. :) Somehow, this extraordinary wardrobe is both ladylike and utterly opulent. Just stunning.

Dearest Janice, you have chosen one of my favorite paintings by a favorite artist. The colors you have chosen are so soft and romantic — warm tones that make me feel so cozy, and everything grounded w/black. So lovely.
Cheers, M-T

I am always fascinated by your combinations. however I sometimes wonder what sort of hosiery would be appropriate in cold weather to wear with these lovely skirts.. could you show some examples.. Thanks in advance
Janice Riggs says
I would wear opaque grey tights with most of these looks – maybe sheer tights with the grey skirt. Hosiery is the WORST!!!

Do you think you could do Seurat's "A Sunday on the Island of La Grande Jatte?" It's my favorite painting and I would wear your chosen wardrobe everyday!
