A normal blogger would wait until this was finished to share it with you, but nobody’s ever accused me of being normal!
I freely admit that I think Ted Baker London makes some of the most beautiful scarves, and that they are an excellent starting point for a well-chosen capsule wardrobe. This just screams spring to me… and if you’re a pansy person (or you love someone who is) this would be a beautiful “no reason at all” gift:

This beautiful floral is available in such wide-ranging lovelies as ballet flats, bags, 2 swimsuits, a cover-up, cropped trousers and a matching sleeveless top, a blouse, a tee shirt, a couple of skirts, a couple of dresses and of course other shapes and sizes of scarves. I have to admit that a tee shirt in this fabric would be tempting – it’s a really easy to wear this beautiful print, without having to be “scarf adept.” Or the sleeveless top in hot weather….
At any rate, the colors that we’re going to have at our disposal are so lovely!
I’ve only made it through the first four months of the year, on the wardrobe-building front, which is why I hesitated about posting this. But I thought maybe seeing just a few months might give you an opportunity to better “digest” these outfits, rather than having a dozen thrown at you all at one time…
Yes, these outfits are long on basic garments; I don’t think that there should be a lot going on in an outfit to distract from (1) the beautiful scarf upon which we’re focusing, and most importantly (2) the beautiful woman wearing the clothes!

Yes, a sleeveless dress in February might seem a bit nutty, but I’m thinking of Valentine’s Day, and then of a dress that can be worn through the spring and summer. That’s the beauty of the matching cardigan – it makes the dress wearable, and then gives you that bit of flirt factor if the restaurant, theater or other venue is warm…

I love cropped pants and ballet flats for spring; my legs really almost never get cold! (and yes, the earrings and necklace match; you don’t ever have to wear them at the same time!)

And knowing that I’m going to be building substantially on this start in the next day, we can see where I am for a good core of neutrals, with a decent percentage of accents. This will of course “flesh-out” beautifully as the outfits are added…
Sorry for the miniature post today, but I’ve had a very difficult time getting myself moving; some days I just plain need rest, and my body will NOT be denied.

I recently bought a vest in that lovely blue colour which I have been wearing iwth grey and orange. The purple and greens look like a great alternative way of using this colour.
This is a good break point for the series. I hope you are feeling better tomorrow BUT we can happily wait another day or two for the rest if you need to have tommorrow as a day off. Blessings Jazz
I just had to look at what in the world pansy ballet flats would look like. And they are gorgeous. I am increasingly tempted by floral/patterned shoes since seeing how Amal Clooney uses them to keep a staid, monochrome outfit from being boring.

A sleeveless dress in February is not nutty at all! I only buy short sleeve and sleeveless dresses: I can add a sweater or blazer in the winter, but I can't do anything to make a long sleeve dress wearable in July.
Also, I love the hexadecimal RGB values on the colors at the bottom!

This is like a walk through a spring garden. I share your enthusiasm for Ted Baker and the scarves you've shown recently are testing my commitment to the shopping fast. I do like the clothes chosen here, which feature the scarf beautifully but also work well by themselves. This will be an interesting year for the lucky lady. I'm very happy to see this develop over several posts – as you say, it's easier to take in the examples when there are fewer. I hope some rest gives you the restorative you need.

I love the new format of the bottom slide, with the RGB values. Some more of these, even revisiting older posts if you have limited time, would be really appreciated.
And a special request – I love all the colours here, except I'm not keen on purple, so a versions with black, turquoise , that soft green ,and maybe a pale yellow or light grey would be wonderful!

Oh dear, but it is not miniature at all! Ideas for such a days if you wish, is to post a link for some of your favorite posts from the past. I try to read past posts (for example from the same month as now several years back) but it is different when you pull it out. If you only knew how much goodness you brought to my life. Love this capsule! I’ve just taken possession of my first Ted Baker scarf this morning, a second-hand online bargain, and what a stunner!
I don’t know what the pattern is called, but it has a creamy, off-white base with lilac, pink and mint-green flowers. The flowers themselves are rather large and ostentatious for my liking, but when the scarf is on, it just looks like an abstract watercolour pattern.
It’s actually one of their shawl-scarves, where you can put your hands through it and wear it like a shawl, but I’ll probably unpick the edges and turn it into a large square scarf, which will be much more practical for me.
Looking forward to matching it up with my wardrobe!
