It’s my birthday! I’m such a child when it comes to celebrating birthdays…
Today, I’m taking you back 2 years, to a travel wardrobe for which our heroine had essentially no clue what awaited her. In order to make sure that she was ready for (almost) anything, I somewhat loaded up her suitcase – 13 pieces total for a trip that might be only 3 days…
And there’s a shout-out to one of the funniest TV shows I’ve ever watched. Much of it is silly, but if you’ve ever worked in a big corporation, there will be moments that will make you laugh until you’re in pain. How bad can that be?
There are still times when I wish that I was traveling for business…
love,
Janice

Happy Happy Birthday – from another IT Crowd fan.
It must be one of the funniest shows ever, with many moments that I still remember and giggle at. Like when Moss hears they are changing the emergency phone number; and when Moss and Roy get caught by a bomb-exploding robot; and, who could ever forget The Work Outing episode.

Happy birthday!
It's seems so sad when I see people complaining about being another year older and I totally agree with you that birthdays should be celebrated.
Have a fabulous day x

Happy Birthday! To many more years of your wonderful sartorial wisdom.
I'm going to have to hunt down this show. It sounds great. It seems to have run for a time in France on Canal +, which I don't get.

Have a marvellous birthday full of love and whatever pleasures you desire! P.S.: I don't miss business travel one bit, it was exhausting.

I think I'm now at the point at which I remember all of the best aspects of it, and none of the exhaustion!

Happy birthday Janice and thank you for all your hard work throughout the year – The Vivienne Files is my first online stop each morning and it sets me up for the day!
I really enjoyed re-visiting this particular post as it is so me – and I really liked the way that you laid things out from relaxed to formal – it makes it really easy to see how all the pieces work together so well.

…or the navy and gray that the wardrobe actually *is*!

Happy Birthday, Janice! I look at colors in a whole different way thanks to you (wearing a teal cardigan with matching jewelry from Novica). Our son got us hooked on the IT Crowd, which is on Netflix, and is from the same person who created "Father Ted."

Happy Birthday! Hope you enjoy celebrating your special day in whatever way makes you happiest.
Reading the flashback post made me smile when I got to the "no worries" part. I picked up that phrase on my recent trip to Ireland. The Irish way of life gets under your skin so quickly – in a good way! Now I know why you want to retire there. I'm already dreaming about going back…

Loved the original post, Janice. Wish I'd had you around when I was working. My week-long NY/Boston/Chicago/San Francisco business trips were always such a packing nightmare. Though on one occasion, my bag didn't arrive with me in NY. That meant an emergency Sunday evening shop in Macy's on insurance. But I did put together possibly my best capsule EVER, probably because I bought it all at the same time and from the same brand, Jones of New York, so no gripes from me!

I had to search to get back to this post but I wanted to thank you. You mentioned The IT Crowd so I googled it and started watching on Netflix….OMG…it slays me. Thanks for the recommendation and I hope you're having a great trip in Ireland.
