Not your usual “holiday colors,” but how many of us really want to wear a ton of red and green? (I know at least one of you is absolutely delighted to wear red and green…)
When you look critically at the painting to isolate the colors, it looks more promising!
Okay, we’re going to take that really yellowish patch and focus on the camel edge! If we revisited this wardrobe for warmer weather, we might go full-tilt into a bunch of yellow…
A key to this wardrobe looking festive is the accessories – but isn’t that often the case, that you achieve the desired effect by adding just one or two little touches?

Even a very casual outfit can be festive, with the addition of the right jewelry:

Just to be sure that she will have some options, our wise heroine assembles in her mind more outfits, using what she’s packed. This way, if something gets stained, torn, turns out to have something wrong with it in some undefinable way, she’s okay…
I think we can all agree that we can wear whatever colors we want for parties, and not be pressured into conforming! We’re far too creative for that…

Absolutely love this! OMG I could be so happy with this in my closet and I don’t typically do camel, but think I could make it work with scarf around my neck.. That red winter scarf is absolutely joyful. Hope all of you who celebrated had a great Thanksgiving, and I can’t wait to see the six scarves updates next week.
