The Reluctant Traveler
We think that you should go on this site visit, because the Superintendent says that you two have never met…”
WHAT kind of chocolate-frosted nonsense is this? She worked with the Superintendent for a half a day, at the end of the LAST site visit, drafting the recommendations for update and next steps. They sat at a table together for hours…
Still, if they say go, she goes. This time, she’s going to make just a bit of a bright statement with her travel capsule wardrobe, starting with some accessories for her travel outfit:
Nothing inappropriate – but maybe the Superintendent will remember her this time?
If you’ve got to do business travel in January in the Northern Hemisphere, you may as well wear something bright!
They won’t have to be outdoors at all, except for back and forth to the hotel; at this stage, the site is so far along that they’re going to be reviewing toilet paper holders and doorsills…
But she has plenty of options for getting dressed; at least she has some autonomy in that!
Of course, the Superintendent may well be color-blind!
love,
Janice
p.s. Ten years ago, we accessorized our core black wardrobe with marsala accessories… What a warm and lovely look!

I’m certain I would love to see a collection of Krasner’s work. Interesting how very talented she was, how talented Frida Kahlo was compared to Diego Rivera and O’Keefe’s talent next to Alfred Stieglitz!
I adore chocolate brown as a neutral… just yesterday wore a chocolate brown cardigan, a warm pink long sleeve tee, tan cords an brown Josef Seibel loafers. The brown skirt is calling my name. I envision it with a bright top, a denim jacket and western boots! Then we grab a cashmere sweater, pretty pumps and bling jewelry for a night at the theater.

What a beautiful capsule wardrobe and it’s sure to get our heroine remembered! Pink and orange are my favorite accent combination, as well. I do think white pants in which to travel is, by far, the BOLD choice of this capsule, despite pretty brights. I am not a white pants wearer on the best of days, as they seem t be a magnet for spills. Even the dirt on the side of any vehicle loves to create filth on them. But, I love that your heroine does not share my fear—or my ineptitude!
