Not your usual “holiday colors,” but how many of us really want to wear a ton of red and green? (I know at least one of you is absolutely delighted to wear red and green…)
When you look critically at the painting to isolate the colors, it looks more promising!
Okay, we’re going to take that really yellowish patch and focus on the camel edge! If we revisited this wardrobe for warmer weather, we might go full-tilt into a bunch of yellow…
A key to this wardrobe looking festive is the accessories – but isn’t that often the case, that you achieve the desired effect by adding just one or two little touches?
Our heroine is packing “outfit by outfit,” and then we’ll re-evaluate what she has, and see what possibilities she has available…
This heroine knows that she needs a dress with her… If you don’t know for a hard fact that you will want one, you certain could pack another couple of tops instead.
Even a very casual outfit can be festive, with the addition of the right jewelry:
This is her completely wardrobe (minus her coat and tote bag) – this certainly feels right for holidays!
When you isolate just the clothing, it looks to be a pretty Perfect 10:
Just to be sure that she will have some options, our wise heroine assembles in her mind more outfits, using what she’s packed. This way, if something gets stained, torn, turns out to have something wrong with it in some undefinable way, she’s okay…
I think we can all agree that we can wear whatever colors we want for parties, and not be pressured into conforming! We’re far too creative for that…

Janice
p.s. Ten years ago, our topic of the day was dressing up a wardrobe using jewelry. I clearly stick to what I believe!
