We have an appointment, and I will of course be working. These are the days when having a simple outfit ready to go is very helpful!

Elegant, reliable simplicity. Inspiring. Minimalism even in accessories.
Leslie says
Although I think this is an interesting experiment and I like the outfits, I’m sure I would be bored with the dress after only a week!
Beth T says
Ditto. I’d have to use a great variety of coloured accessories and jewellery.
Beth T says
May I suggest that you do a double post for the 100 days on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays in between the main posts on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The main posts would remain as the key focus.
Janice says
I would be more than fine with that – does anyone else have an opinion? My opinion is that Beth is pretty genius…

Whatever makes your life easier is my vote.

Sounds good to me
Margery says
I agree.
Mary says
I posted below, but I want to second the double post idea.
Cindy says
Go with what works best for you!!
Grace says
I think that is a fine idea … IF it makes it easier for you. I love your blog, in whatever form or style that works for you.
Kris says
Agreed – do what works for you! I love reading your blog – and am determined to get my wardrobe under control as we do a double-move. Yikes- not for the faint of heart.
Thank you, as always, for all your work on our behalves.

Moving sounds tough enough!
What is a double move?
Margery says
Kris, we moved a lot for Dh work and I heard a saying that always made me laugh at its accuracy. “Three moves is as good as a fire!” I hope it’ll give you the same wry chuckle as it gave me. Every move I was sure I’d decluttered to the bone only to see another round of clutter leave after we settled in.

I have worn 2 wool& dresses, 1 sleeveless and my first, a long sleeved.Limiting my daily outfit choices, encouraged me to attend to the details of my daily outfit. As a long time reader of TVF, I gathered inspiration from the treasure trove of accessories, top layers and footwear. I enjoyed TVF even more because I wasn’t visually overwhelmed by the beautiful color ways and patterns, most of which I’d not be comfortable wearing no matter how much I enjoy viewing.
I still love the details and reading the comments as inspiration .

What were some favorite posts you used as inspirations?
Recently I was thinking about some of the more…. adversarial hereoines, whose accessories show things like daggers or poison bottles! (But Janice’s inclusive Zen-style pendant shown on this post is also in my style… we contain multitudes!)
Mary says
I would love to see double posts as well. This dress experiment is interesting to me. I am hoping for your success. It might spur me to try something similar using pants instead of a dress.
AK says
Ahhh…and I had the same idea with a skirt I love. Problem is, I would seriously have to do two outfits to cover the activities in my life…at least one pr of hiking pants with the skirt for every day/appointments/meetings/dinners/parties.
Margery says
I LOVE this dress experiment. It’s a great backdrop for accessories. This quiet simplicity is really appealing. I’m not a dress person but this is really pulling at me.
Ann lee says
Do the sweaters shown to go over the dress not cause a “bunch up” at the dress waist.
Which tops go. Over dress and which go under. Thank you, ann lee s.
Janice says
The sweatshirt bunches up the bottom of the dress just a bit – maybe 2 1-inch pleats appear to make the skirt fit under the sweatshirt. But it’s just as if I was wearing a gathered skirt…

Janice
