Ha! I came here to ask the same question! Under or over? I was thinking of your project as I put on my favorite summer dress yesterday, which is almost the same shape. But I don’t think I’d like to wear a shirt under it. Hard to put my finger on why…
Ooo love the necklace, haven’t seen jewelry like that before, thanks!
I saw a meme or something that said the stripes that we think of as being so French are actually just from a particular occupation in Breton or Brittany, a popular place when the rich young Americans began to take their Grand Tours of Europe, so that is why it became such a French stereotype. I will have to do more research! But I came here to say Ooo lala how French pour un jour and then I realized, nope, that’s just us.
You’re so cute, Janice have fun with the challenge!
I really like this outfit and the clever reason for it. You have inspired me to be more creative with the clothes I already own. I can and will try this with my identical black tank dress and Breton stripe tee. I look forward to what you come up with next 🤔
I love the concept of a wearable dress that can be versatile and inspires many outfits. But this dress is so tent like, trapeze. I guess fine on a tall gal.i guess the idea falls apart when a crucial element does not work. Maybe offer a variety of dress selections-/ Nordstrom’s has some and I like Nina McLemore (expensive , but fabulous quality).
It wouldn’t suit me either, Barbara. I always love the idea of a challenge, but I don’t think this is the right one for me, especially since I live in tropical Florida. It’s almost never layering weather. And since I’m known for wearing capris and shorts, I feel like my friends would say, “What is the matter with Tina?” on the 3rd or 4th day I wore a black shift, no matter how cute the accessories were.

Striped sweater over or under dress?

Hi Danielle,
In her instagram account, she said it’s under, I believe.

Tee shirt – under. I can’t wear anything bulky under this dress, but a tee shirt or cotton turtleneck goes perfectly!
hugs,
Janice
