Beautiful photos of a beautiful and oh, so meaningful place, not only to the French, and to Christians, but to the heart and soul of the French people. Merci.
Thank you for posting this today, Janice. I am so thankful to have visited this beautiful and sacred place. The French are a resilient lot, and something tells me they will find a way to bring back that iconic spire and the section from which it rose.
Wonderful photos. The best one I have of Notre Dame is from the rooftop of the Institut du Monde Arabe. If you’ve never been there, I highly recommend both the museum and the view.
Thank you, Janice ! When in Paris we took an open air bus tour and twice circled this gorgeous artifact of French history. May she rise from the ashes !

On our first trip to France in 2015 we had one “free day” in Paris in addition to a general tour of the city. The one attraction we missed was the Notre Dame. Instead we spend a few hours in a nearby café watching lines going into the cathedral. Last week we again had a “free day” having arrived by sea. As we watched the fire on TV from our cabin we felt sick a heart that at not only about another missed chance but for the loss for the destruction of such a precious treasure. God Bless the French People! from an American admirer and lover of France
