One of your recently purchased a very beautiful pair of new boots, but then began to wonder if you would be able to wear them often enough to get your money’s worth from your purchase. The boots are lovely – very practical for walking, but still graceful. So I have a few ideas…
- Boots with casual dresses

- Boots with bootcut jeans

- Boots with narrow jeans
Double-terminated quartz crystal earrings – Melissa Joy Manning, black jeans – Burberry Brit, paisley shirt – Etro, belt – Fossil, boots – Cole Haan, brown sweatshirt – Garage Nouveau, madeira citrine earrings – Allurez, floral scarf – Linea, blue jeans – Adriano Goldschmied
- Boots with skirts (not just tweed, though!)

I barely have time to read these days, much less to comment, but my heart sings when I see these beautiful colors. Once again, you have given me an idea of what to wear! Thanks.
What great ideas for wearing boots. I have several pairs and do find it hard sometimes to make outfits which use them so thank you!
Thanks for showing how beautiful a wardrobe based on brown/cream can look, I especially like the last set. And… please can I have that brown cardigan for Christmas?

Boots are among the few items where (to me) you always get your money's worth–if you can walk in them, of course. Classic styles really don't date; with care, the leather can last and last. Always a good return on investment or cost per wear or however you want to define value.
I have a pair of 20 year old boots just like the ones you show and they are still great. Lots of care and polishing helps.

Update on Novica giftcard…well, fellow Vivienne-ites, it's done. I have just cashed in my $50 giftcard graciously donated by Novica (National Geograph) and our own, dear Janice. I was like a kid with the Sears & Robuck toy catalog. Coming soon will be a silver peacock brooch and a pair of garnet and pearl earrings to enhance my new black/grey wardrobe. Thank you Janice for the loving inspiration and generous gift card. I urge everyone to investigate the Novica site. XOXO. Julie
Thank you so much for this beautiful post. I love your ideas! You can not have known that you were sending out a very lovely birthday greeting when you posted this :-) Mary P
Great sweater! Here are some others that I think you will love: http://www.fash365.com/2014/12/designers-and-comedians-keep-you-in-stitches.html
Perfect timing, I just bought a pair of boots very similar to these. I also changed my capsule wardrobe dramatically a few months ago and sure can do with some extra inspiration. I love the skirts and the dress options, you gave me food for thought. Thank you!
Wow! I read daily but rarely comment. Had to let you know that this post excited me. It's not only in my color palette (mostly black and chocolate brown) but it nails my style. Thanks!
Beautiful boots and beautiful clothes to wear with them. I love the tweed skirts with the boots – such a warm, comfy and elegant look. I think it's a bit of a waste to wear bootcut jeans over the boots, but I converted to skinny jeans ages ago so I wouldn't anyway.
