I have been asked a number of questions about packing just a few items in neutrals, for cold-weather travel… As always with me, scarves are key!

Would you be able to do this in grey and navy, as these are my main winter neutrals? I am planning to visit the UK in January, so it will definitely be cold weather there!

Another vote here for navy and grey! I have just recently discovered this color combination and its so easy to go casual or dressy with it.

LOVE the Dorothy Perkins sweater. And it's on sale!! I'm curious about Uniqlo. Does anyone have experience with their clothes/ordering, etc?
Amy says
I was wondering about Uniqlo's sizing too. I'm between and XL and a 1x depending on how stuff is cut. I might bite the bullet and give them a try. They have so many good-looking, basic tops.

I'm a size 14UK and I found their L to be either just right or too small (depending on the garment – long sleeved layering tops were too small, a skirt with an elastic waist was fine).
Sheryl says
I'm your size, Amy. I can just barely fit into the Uniqlo XL tee shirts – very form-fitting. The larger-cut sweaters in XL are OK. Length, in general, is very long. I'm short (5'4"), and wear their Tee shirts under jackets, belted so I can blouse out the tee over the belt.
Hope this helps.

I just returned from a four day trip having packed once again 'your way'. The three scarves I brought along allowed me to look a little bit different each day. Those Philip Lim trousers are beautiful.

In my experience Uniglo's sizing is small so a Uniglo L is like an American M. Sadly all sizes are too small for me but the men's sizes are OK for my husband, so the men's sizing goes up to bigger sizes.

How does everyone feel about the quality of Uniglo's clothing?
Anonymous says
I've had very good luck with the quality of their basics – merino or cotton sweaters, striped "sailor" shirts, cotton button-downs, and a couple of fashion items. I find their sizing runs to the small side, as they are appealing to a young-ish audience. I'm 5'4" and small-boned, and I usually buy a size larger than I do in other stores.

For some reason, I really struggle with the combination of gray and tan or camel. I don't know if it is because one is cool and the other warm. Does anyone else seem to have this problem?
Lisbet says
That is so pretty, I am in awe. My problem is I cannot find out how to ever choose my core colours. I want Navy, chocolate, tan and now I also want grey. I know 4 core colours are way too many. HELP!!!
