Yes, you are seeing LOTS of “what to wear with” – especially with scarves. You can’t imagine how many requests I received… But I like these little vignettes; even if you don’t want to buy or wear the scarf, the colors in the scarf can be a great springboard for a few well-coordinated outfits!
And for great scarf tying ideas, check my friend Mai Tai’s site; she is the complete GENIUS of scarf tying…

Hermes could hire you to do a booklet of what to wear with…
seriously!
I love that you do a range of casual to dressy looks with your Hermes.
I never tire of your *What to Wear with* series. This is such a gorgeous scarf – I just love the colours. You always have a nice mix of formal and casual combinations.
I am now officially heartbroken that I turned away from that blue suede jacket when it called. The siren should have been heard and followed! :)
Again, you are a bottomless well of creativity; I've so enjoyed your recent posts, as well as many of the archived ones. As a newer reader, forgive me if you've answered this before, but what's the significance of your gorgeous Irish header (Chicago-related?), when the blog seems largely French-themed? Just curious, because I find the creation of personal journals online fascinating, wondering if I'd ever dare to do it myself. Thanks!
I used to live in Ireland… I've changed the header a couple of times, and by the end of summer I will change it again, to some other travel photograph. I have a lot of pictures of France, Italy, Scotland, and Ireland that I like, and will eventually feature.
big hug,
Janice
Will look forward to that; I'm a great armchair traveler and even a greater traveler for real (although I've not had the chance for far too long!). Never been to Ireland, although it's in my genes from Dad's side; my great-grandfather's red hair and beard looked like it was on fire, was the story I heard handed down by those who spent time with him and his brogue. Lucky you to have experienced living over there; it's so beautiful!
Perfect combinations! I love their scarves, I wish they weren't so expensive!!
There's a robust second-hand market in Hermes scarves; Ebay always has hundreds. Generally, you can get a scarf for half the price of a new one, and given the durability of silk, it's not like the scarf won't last forever…
big hug,
Janice
I do love your what-to-wear-with-scarf posts! I am hopeful that one day you will find time to do mine (the Hermes Mosaique au 24). Although it's going to be too hot to wear an Hermes here for the next 5 months!
