Claudia asked about a travel wardrobe in grey, with accents of teal and merlot. What lovely colors to work with… If this isn’t exactly appropriate for the weather anticipated, shorter sleeves, and maybe capris could be substituted for some of the items here. As always, I’m long on accessories, and layering possibilities…Enjoy!

The variations are just so…infinite. That's where your genius shines, the pulling it together in so many ways. Useful, beautiful, and I'm running low on ink cartridges.

Thanks so much for taking the time to plan this travel wardrobe for my rivercruise trip to Russia this summer. You were able to bring together all the elements I needed! I already have some of the pieces as I am working in "my colors". As a sewer I am off to look at fabric choices so I can get started on other pieces. Love what you have done for me.

Vivianne, I really am learning from you. It may take a couple of seasons, but now I know how to pick a direction and head that way instead of snarfing up every thing I see that I like. This will be so helpful going forward. thanks.

Gorgeous, your ability to put together these wardrobes for us to see and work on are truly inspirational and I'm sure like others we will be much better prepared for any trips with all your wonderful input.

Beautiful selection for a city. She needs more that is washable and dryable quickly, Vivienne- linen, silk jersey, good polys.

Ah! Here's a trick, for the "bonus round": I love those accent colors, but I am one of those poor souls whose foundation neutral color is dark chocolate brown (70-80% cocoa). I think one ought to be able to swap out the grey for said brown, but can the brown be found? And will it be summer-y? (and a bit funky, but not necessarily casual)
What do you think? Can it be done? Yours, R

Hello, Vivienne, I can't believe I'm just now finding this blog. Thanks, Tish!
The color and shape combinations you come up with are absolutely brilliant. I particularly like that you list who makes what, and since I loathe shopping (but like to wear nice clothes, as long as they don't take up too much time), I probably would never have discovered them on my own.
I'm looking forward to reading it all.
