Oh, I love this one! I think I can merge it with my colors of sky and sunset one. Thinking about that could you show how to do something like that? You are so talented at this!
Medea says
It's so inspiring! Thanks!

Oh Juhli, this would work beautifully with your sky and sunset… let me give it some thought!
warmest regards,

Vivienne, I just love your blog and look forward every day to seeing your wonderful inspiration! Please, please put together some looks in a black and brown combination with a touch of blue and/or red. Thanks for what you do for all of us!

Hi Vivienne, I'm a new reader and I just wanted to say thank you for your amazing blog! I've just recently become a mother and consequently, taking care of myself has flown out the window. I've been determined to gain control of my looks and my wardrobe again, but I'm so overwhelmed by all the style blogs out there ridden with fast fashion and too much stuff. Your blog is a breath of fresh air. I have learned SO much already from reading through your archives, and I'm now very slowly but surely building a functional, intentional wardrobe, customizing staple pieces to my lifestyle and wisely choosing which pieces are worth investing in for me. It's so exciting! I want you to know that your effort here on this blog is highly appreciated and real people are learning and applying it to their wardrobes/lives! Thank you!
Vivienne says
Dearest Avelina,
You made my day! I put a lot of work into what I write here, and it's all worthwhile when someone tells me that it has helped them. BIG hug to you and the baby.
And regarding the request for a black and brown wardrobe – I'm all over it! I traveled with a black and brown ensemble (see my post of June 30th) and I still really love the combination. It took me a while to get used to it, but once I got started, I was hooked!
thanks for being here,
Vivienne

As they say on the radio, "Long time listener, first time caller…" I have been a fan of the Capsule Concept since I came across the book, Working Wardrobe by Janet Wallach. YOU, my dear, seem to have this concept as a reflex. I am smitten with your blog. I had to stop and comment on that amazing sweater – have you come across anything similar, hopefully less expensive, for this coming autumn? Please keep up your amazing work – you are appreciated by more people than you know. <3

Welcome to our little happy world! I'm sorry it took me so long to find your comment – I'm delighted that you're here… If you're looking for glorious sweaters that aren't too expensive, I have to recommend L.L.Bean. Lots of people think they're stodgy and old-fashioned, but I find their things to be beautifully well made and timeless.
hugs,
Janice
