Where can I get a great white cotton blouse? I want to spend under $50 so if it gets ruined in the wash, I won't be devastated. Any ideas?
Mine are from Lands' End – I actually own FIVE of them; purchased when I wore them every day in the bakery. They make Petites, so the sleeves are a good length for me, and they seem to be holding up very well so far.

I thought that once I stopped working these considerations were gone. But you've reminded me that assessing the day's needs really helps when choosing what to wear, even in retirement. My day might look like: freezing rain, two mile walk anyway, daily shopping/chats, baking bread, tea with friends. So I think: corduroy jeans, boots with good soles, warm scarf, little hoop earrings, turtleneck and cardigan. Change boots to loafers for baking and add pretty cashmere lace scarf for tea. Oh and really fun socks. See? Thank you!

By the way, I will trade your weather for mine. It was 15 below 0 (Farenheit) last night here in Idaho.
Laughing because another Idahoan checking in. We werent that cold tho! Just single digits. I was inspired last summer to get a Lands End cardie when they went on sale and I love it! Not sure how it manages to keep me very warm on quite cold days but is also fine when it is just moderate out.

Could you throw in the down time choices also. Thank you for the Land's End suggestion. I'm always looking for a white shirt. It's also really helpful to know that you own 5 of a basic. I could easily have 5 white shirts and use them.
Here's a question: Would you still dress 'like a grownup' if your coworkers dress like preschoolers?
Many of my (middle-age) coworkers wear 'comfy' clothes to work. Jeans and running shoes. Broomstick skirts and Birkenstocks. Bulky, droopy sweaters.
Recently, I saw my boss' boss at work — in a velour track suit.
So, how do you recommend fitting into such a casual culture?

I love the inspiration for Project 333. It has helped me immensely to see the different outfits one can make from a {seemingly} small amount of clothing. I'm on the second round (started in October) and while I did a great job planning for the winter phase, the incredibly warm weather is forcing me to dig out my summer clothes! I'm with you on navigating this warm winter. I'll have to redo my entire wardrobe this weekend if I'm going to have anything to wear for the next 3 months. When will you do the Spring version? Can't wait!
